Homeless

We are officially homeless. I cannot help but say we are glad that we no longer own that house. The house suited our needs when we bought it, but as we lived in the house we realized that we wanted other things. It is funny how buying your first home opens your eyes to things that you did not think were so important. Over time, there were things we wish we had (a pantry or a garage for instance). Then there are the things that we could live without (the people that decide 25 mph in a neighborhood is only a suggestion).

We had a great lot with a fenced in backyard. During the spring and summer it had trees growing on three sides so we did not see our neighbors. And Buddy had plenty of space to run around. The house that we are most interested in is on a small lot. But the house is prefect, according to The Husband. I have seen pictures and tend to agree that this is a great house. The only thing right now that we see as a problem is the lot size. We would be VERY close to the neighbors. I think this is something that we can get past since the house is what we want and in the neighborhood that we want.

The Husband is going to get some listings from our agent and they are going to look some more. I will only go and look at the houses if he cannot make up his mind or to see the house that he has chosen. I have no problems letting him make this decision. He is a lot more picky than I am about this house, so staying out of the decision making is fine by me. He will work out all the problems in his head and then come to me with a list of pros and cons and give me what is his pick. I guess you could say that is the good thing about being married to an analytical mind.

In the next week or so I am hoping that he will have found a house that he likes and that we put in a contract. I do not want to wait too long. I would like to be able to come home from the hospital, whenever that might be, to our own house. A house where The Boy has his own room, and where we have a room with all our things.
