Back to the routine

Well we made it home safely and surprisingly we made decent time. The trip from Orlando to VA usually takes around 12 hours and we made it in 14.5 hours. We planned for extra time for the boys but most of the extra time was spent in Richmond merging with other holiday travelers. It is so annoying to be 45 miles from home and having it take 2.5 hours to go the distance. We were pleased however that the boys were outstanding for the entire ride. The little one only piped up when he needed changing or was hungry, other than that he just kind of hung out and slept. The fuzzy one slept almost the entire way, only got up when we stopped. We thank his cousin Jack for that.

Now that we are home we are trying to get back to the routine. Jackson seems to have liked being held at night while on vacation and so we are trying to get him back in his own bed. We ordered a motion sensor baby monitor and next week will let him sleep on his stomach some since he sleeps 1-3 hours longer on his belly. We are thinking that after a week in our room on his belly we will move him into his own room (hopefully that will go well). He is still trying to learn to giggle (still sounds like he is choking) and now loves watching TV (he watched a little bit during the holidays).

This weekend will be another road trip. We are making sure Jackson gets to see every state on the east coast. We are traveling up to Pa where Jackson will get to meet his Great grandma for the first time. Hopefully we can borrow the sisters mini-van so everyone can travel in the same vehicle and save on gas. Scary thought traveling with all those people in one van though.

Side note: Last weekend i predicted that Florida will be favored by 8 points and that they will win by more than 17 in the SEC championship game. So if it does happen, you saw it here first, if it doesn't happen then i was just kidding the whole time.

Ok. The whole other room thing is seeming too close so we may hold off, or I may hold off. The belly thing ... the thought of him sleeping by himself on his tummy makes me want to throw up, so we will see.
Someone forgot to mention how he wanted to kill the dog on the way from Charleston to FL.
And here I was going to post about Britney today. And how she sucked on GMA. Oh well. The Man can do a serious post.
