At the beginning of last week we finally got a lot of snow. Not enough to close down our respective bases, but enough for us to get some good delays. This is really the only part of winter that I like, the snow. It is so pretty and the snow we had was fluffy so you didn't get all wet playing outside. The rest of winter I can do without. I hate the cold. I hate the grey. I hate not being able to stay outside long with the dog when he wants you to throw a ball. The only saving grace of winter is the clothes. I LOVE winter clothes. They seem so much more fashionable than summer clothes. I love to wear pea coats, turtlenecks, sweaters and layers. I love the way layered clothes look.
Anyway back to the snow. I would say that we had a good 4 inches. Possibly more, but I don't want to exaggerate. (Craig would be on here in a heart beat telling everyone that I don't know what I am talking about if I were to say we had 6 inches. Then there would be a whole fight about me not having any concept of measurements ... this coming from the 'rocket scientist' to the mathematician. If I had to lay money on it, I would go with what I say over what he would say since my degree has to do with math after all.) Our back yard was so pretty covered in snow. The dog LOVED playing outside! He loves to run through the snow. He loves it when you through snowballs at him, because after all they are balls and what in this world could be better than a ball? He'll let the 'ball' fall to the ground and then try to paw at it and he'll usually come up with snow covering his face. Buddy looks so cute with snow attached to his whiskers! Craig tried to get a picture of this, but the dog shook it off rather fast.
I leave you with pictures of Jackson in the snow.
