Trip to Flordia

Let me start off by saying, I love my boy. He's a sweet and charming little kid. We could not be any luckier with a child. I don't always say what a great kid he is, because well lets face it ... I focus on the things a can complain about. He truly is a great kid.

I couldn't be luckier in the traveling department. In the 4 flights that Jackson has taken (all to Florida and back) he has been excellent. I try to schedule flights around food and sleep. The key for me, and him, is to have a mission. I stay focused on something I need to get done, so it helps keep my mind off that awful thing called flying. Jackson has something to look forward to. This time around, he got a bottle as we got on the plane and soon after we were in the air he was asleep. After his bottle, Jackson would watch the take off. He was fascinated with the surroundings flying by during the take offs and landings. He loved looking out the window. This makes me excited for the Big Boy car seat. Not that I think he'll be able to look out the window yet, but it will be a different experience while riding in the car.

While in Florida, Jackson was totally off his schedule. He didn't sleep well at night or during the day. I think it was a combination of new surroundings as well as Craig not being there. There was just too much of a difference. The funniest thing was the second night we were there. Mom and I were sleeping in Judy's bed and he was sleeping in the middle. He would wake up look at me scream, crawl over to mom and then sleep. He would then repeat the process, look at mom and scream and then crawl over to me and go back to sleep. Granted it was not funny when it was happening, but it's kinda funny now.

As you can tell by the previous post, Jackson has a new friend. Those two cracked me up! Toby would sit at our feet and bark until we would put Jackson down next to him. Then Toby would give him kisses and their world would be complete. I think they liked each other because they were the same size. It was so sweet to see them get along so well. And I LOVE that picture of them. It looks like they were up to something and then stopped and looked around like "We weren't doing anything." They've got a mischievous look on their faces. Super Sweet!

We had a WONDERFUL time celebrating Erinn and Andrew. It was a great party! And the signature drinks were yummy. I am so excited for the wedding. I know it is going to be beautiful and full of love. I cannot wait to see Erinn's vision come together.

At least you have a good flier. I have a good car rider. 12 hours in a car and they are great.
