Time Machine

OK this is the post where i quantum leap to the present. Since i am not posting names we will start calling the patient, Patient. Patient was taken off the mag iv and put on oral terb pills. They seem to be working much better, only a few contractions every now and then. Patient has a catheter and has learned to accept it, Patient pees like a racehorse so it is probably better for her. Forgot to mention, while on mag the levels in her body got to high and Patient tried to be overly dramatic and claim chest pain and trouble breathing, Yeah right, drama queen. So today was the FFN test. Sad news....it came back positive. So we are defiantly not leaving the hospital any time soon. The test results are good for 7 days or so, so maybe next week we can get us a negative result and breath easy for a week or two. Tomorrow might be an appointment with the specialist, who knows. Not that i think any new information will change the treatment. Patient has not had a BM since Wednesday....she is really fighting it, doesn't want to ruin her lady like image. Actually she just started eating solids the other day and has been eating sparingly at that. Tomorrow might have to be taco bell take out, that would defiantly do the trick. Patient is hanging in there, really hard to be positive when you are helpless to the situation. We are setting some goals, the first of which is 30. When we get to 30 we will celebrate with a nice big hospital cafeteria dinner and a sponge bath. Then set new goals. 4.5 weeks to go.

So sorry to hear about the positive, remember the friends of Carey & Steph's, they had a postive went on to deliver in 4 weeks and this was after the woman went walking around Ikea for hours. I am thinking she needs a burger from 5 Guys and some yummy fries.
