I went to a luncheon at for work today. It was the first time I have seen a lot of work people since Jackson was born. Inevitably everyone asked why I didn't bring him to the luncheon. The reason was simple, he hasn't had his shots yet. I thought that was a satisfactory explanation.
I have noticed that some people think that this is old fashioned thinking. That it is okay to bring out babies before they have had their shots. In part I agree with that. We take Jackson to other people's homes, but we aren't taking him to restaurants or stores yet. For us, there are too many germs there. Plus you have those people out there that think it's okay to come up and fuss over your baby and even touch them.
The more I think about it, it's a personal choice. For some people, it works for them. Others not so much. We are an others couple.

We are others over here too.
You're not even supposed to take a dog out before he gets his shots, why would you take a baby? You make perfect sense to me.
he is your son and you get to make the decisions, not the world. I am with you, Manny did not leave the house until he was 6 weeks old, maybe that is my problem now.
