Update

Been a while so here are some updates. Jackson finally has a tooth coming in, so obviously rocks are now OK to eat. He has graduated to his forward facing car seat and i think he likes being able to see us, i know that we like to be able to see him and see what antics are going on back there. Also football season is now in full swing and all i have to say is that nothing makes me happier on a Saturday than seeing Notre Dame lose. Below is a picture of what Buddy thinks about football season. Also i had a sad realization this week when i took buddy out for our standard 4 mile run and he quit after 2 miles, i mean he really quit, he went from running to laying down in two strides. He didn't even want to walk back to the house. He used to fight tooth and nail to stay with me during a run, even to the point where he would be running with his eyes closed and feet dragging, but now anymore, he is older and wiser, figures i am not going to drag him down the sidewalk. makes me sad that our boy is getting older and slower. Jackson and Daddy got a whole weekend together last week while the wife was in SC. Jackson got to wear his star wars t-shirt all weekend long. And yes women still love him, we went shopping together and he gets so many comments its ridiculous. Almost forgot that with this new tooth he has, he feels that he is a big boy now and no longer needs naps. All i have to say about that is "grouchy"

Just a thought on turing him forward - the AAP recommends keeping them rear facing until they outgrow the convertible car seat's rear facing abilities (usually 30-35lbs). The 1 yr AND 20lbs law is the bare minimum safety standard but is by means viewed as the safest thing. Just making sure you're making an informed decision to turn him around. It's been a struggle for us - Kate gets car seat and pukes if she's rear facing but I have having her forward facing (scares me). Bennett is still rear facing. Hudson is forward facing b/c I can't get him in the third row rear facing anymore. Here's some info:

I feel what you are saying about the long run/walk with the dog. Judy and I have a 1 hour walk we do with the dogs. Jack has always been "I can go for more", this last week not so much. He starts dragging butt about 40 mins in, so slow!! Drives me nuts. Nanook on the other hand can go for miles and miles. He is the oldest in the group!

AND actually... we ended up switching them all to rear facing today. Just safer - even if it's more of a pain for us!!
