The first project is this:

I got the idea for this print from a piece at BRU that I liked. I changed the colors and that is what I made. Craig and I decided before Jackson was born that we were not going to do a 'theme'. If we were going to decorate his room we would decorate with things that he could grow up using. So, being the super dorks that we are, we settled on using fractals. If you don't know what they are you can check out these links: Mandelbrot Set and Julia Set . Those are the two main pieces of art that are in Jackson's room at this point. Now ... we have numbers!
I am super excited for my first ever project that involved paint. I have never painted a piece of canvas in my life, and now I want to paint more! Okay, maybe not just yet. I do have other projects that I need to complete before I jump in with one foot into another craft.
This is the second project:

I got these photos of 'letters' at the Market in Charleston. Now I know that I could have taken the photos, but really ... we all know I would have never gotten around to taking the photos. Instead of getting a mat for the photos, Andrea gave me the idea to use a piece of fabric as the background. I really like the way this turned out.
Now the only thing that I need to do is get them hung on the walls. Then there are only a couple other things that need to be hung on the walls and Jackson's room will be complete! Woo hoo! One room totally complete!
